Senvol to Speak, Exhibit at AMUG; Machine Learning Approach to AM Allowables to be Briefed

Posted By Senvol on Mar 29, 2022

Chicago, IL – March 29, 2022 – Senvol will be speaking and exhibiting at the upcoming 2022 Annual Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) Conference next week.

Senvol President Annie Wang will be giving a presentation titled, “Applying Machine Learning to Enable Rapid Material Property Allowables Development for AM.” The presentation will be a briefing on the technical results of an America Makes program that recently completed. The program was focused on demonstrating a machine learning-enabled approach to material allowables development. The project team (Senvol, WSU-NIAR, Northrop Grumman, Stratasys Direct Manufacturing, and Pilgrim Consulting) demonstrated in a side-by-side comparison that a ML-enabled approach to allowables development can be more flexible, more cost-effective, more time-effective, and just as accurate as the conventional (e.g. CMH-17) approach to allowables development.

Wang will be co-presenting alongside Chris Holshouser, who was the TPOC for NIAR during the program.

The presentation will take place on Tuesday, April 5 from 1:30pm-2:30pm in Continental B (Lobby Level).

AMUG will take place from April 3-7, 2022 at the Hilton Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. Visit Senvol at Booth #39.

AMUG is an independent, industry-wide users group that gives its members a forum for learning and information exchange on additive manufacturing technology.  AMUG is considered one of the pre-eminent gatherings for leaders of the additive manufacturing industry.
