Pittsburgh, PA – May 1, 2019 – Senvol President Zach Simkin addressed the MOST-AM Consortium members earlier today with a presentation titled “Using Machine Learning to Intelligently Generate and Analyze Additive Manufacturing Data.”
The focal point of the presentation was Senvol ML, which is Senvol’s machine learning software for additive manufacturing (AM). During the presentation, Simkin highlighted the U.S. Navy’s use of the software and the resulting analysis.
MOST-AM is a consortium aimed at developing the most advanced modeling and optimization simulation tools for AM. Among the consortium’s goals is to enable simulation-based certification of AM metal parts via process-microstructure-property modeling.
The MOST-AM consortium is led by Dr. Albert To of the University of Pittsburgh. Members of MOST-AM include ANSYS, Eaton, Kennametal, Lockheed Martin, Moog, Parker Hannifin, and Siemens, among others.
