Senvol President Selected to Join ASME Technology Advisory Panel

New York, NY – April 19, 2017 – Senvol President Zach Simkin was recently selected to join ASME’s Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) for additive manufacturing. TAP members are thought leaders from industry, academia, or government and are considered additive manufacturing subject matter experts with a thorough understanding of the technology development curve.

The TAP’s inaugural meeting was held yesterday at ASME’s headquarters in New York City. Along with Simkin, other TAP members include representatives from Lockheed Martin, HP, U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Boeing, Siemens Energy, Desktop Metal, and GE Power, among others. The purpose of the additive manufacturing TAP is to help ASME better understand industry needs.

ASME, also known as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, promotes the art, science & practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe. ASME was founded in 1880 and has grown through the decades to include more than 130,000 members in 151 countries.
