Senvol Speaks, Exhibits at RAPID Conference

Posted By Senvol on May 19, 2016

Orlando, FL – May 19, 2016 – Senvol Presidents Annie Wang and Zach Simkin each gave a featured presentation during the RAPID Conference this week. The RAPID Conference is the premier additive manufacturing conference in North America.

Wang, presenting in the SME/America Makes Theater, discussed “How to Select the Right AM Machine and Material.” During her presentation, Wang provided a framework that can be used by companies to determine the right additive manufacturing (AM) machine and material to select for a given application. Various ways to narrow down the options were explored, such as analyzing machine and material compatibility, build envelope size, total cost of ownership, and realistic mechanical properties.

Simkin’s presentation was titled “What is the Industry Truly Searching For? A Data-Driven Analysis.” During his presentation, for the first time ever, Senvol publicly shared search trends from the Senvol Database™, which is the first and most comprehensive database for industrial additive manufacturing machines and materials. Simkin shared insights ranging from what is the most-searched AM machine, to which 3rd party material suppliers are gaining traction in the industry.

Senvol could also be found in the exhibit hall throughout the conference, at Booth #775. Visitors from around the world came to learn more about Senvol’s additive manufacturing data products, including the Senvol Database™, Senvol API™, and Senvol’s most recent product, Senvol Indexes™. Senvol Indexes™ are data sets for additive manufacturing material characterization.

The RAPID Conference was held from Monday, May 16 through Thursday, May 19 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. For more information, please visit the RAPID website.
